THIS IS AN UPDATED POST!!!
Hello all, I am FINALLY back to update this abandoned blog of mine after a month or so (not like anyone bothers to read anyway).
As some of you know, I went on a 3 days 2 nights trip to Genting with my parents in June. This time round, I stayed at Resort Hotel instead of the First World Hotel that I stayed in last March. Comparing this trip with the previous trip that I had, it was a total different experience for me I guess.
Last year’s visit to Genting was more of a “virgin” trip for me. Took the Five Star tour bus over to and from Genting and stayed there for a total of 4 days 3 nights. I still remember I spent most of the time there exploring around (via foot and cable car), shopping and eating with my parents.
This year, however, was more of a gambling trip for me. Since I am already 21, this meant that I could enter the casinos (which isn’t very good). As expected, I spent all of my time there in the casino with my parents. The only time when we were not in the casino was when we were out for a buffet or in the room sleeping. As my mum is a Genting World Card member, she was given 2 free tickets to catch Dreamz – a stage performance. Since there were 3 of us, we purchased another ticket at a cheap rate. To my disappointment, the performance was definitely not worth the money. So anyway, here are some of the photos that I took during my trip.

When I got back from Genting, I was introduced to a temp job at Vivocity Tangs Atrium Sales by Alvin and soon, I started working for 10 days. There, I sold products like Lee Polo Tees, Cobian Slippers and Eastpak Bags. Made many new friends there – including Tangs Cashiers and fellow promoters from other brands. Work was alright but it was really horrible when it came to the packing up of stocks when the atrium sales ended.Straight after the Vivocity job, I did another bazaar.
Worked at Takashimaya’s Studio 04 (level 4) selling a branded line of clothes called BCBGMaxazria for a week before moving on to Robinson Expo Sales. Working at Takashimaya was an eye-opener for me as I got to experience an interesting routine that the staffs do every morning before they open. 5 minutes before the store opens, the staffs would usually stop whatever they are doing and stand in a straight row infront of the department they are incharge of. Once the music ends and a morning announcement to the customers is made, the staffs will then bow to welcome the first few customers who step in. Thought is was a really interesting routine that they do since we don’t usually see it or do it at other deparmental stores. On my last day at Takashimaya, I was posted to BCBGMaxazria’s boutique at Paragon for 6 hours as they were short handed. That too, was my first experience working at the boutique and it sure was enjoyable. Thank goodness the staff there were really friendly so it was not so boring there.
After the bazaar sales at Takashimaya came Robinson Sales at Expo. This time round, I worked for FCUK and it was fun. The people I met there were really friendly and of course, I made many new friends again. Weekends were torturing for us as crowds just keep coming in non-stop. Clothes were thrown everywhere and by the time the crowd left, the whole expo would seem like a war had just ended. Needless to say, queues at the cashier were freaking long and so it made me wonder if there is still a recession going on. GOSH.
Enough of words and let’s just move on to the pictures that we took during the Robinson Expo Sales…
